“Cattitude” [ft. RuPaul] by Miley Cyrus Review - Pitchfork

“I like to do what I’m not supposed to do, and this is the music that feels the truest to me at the moment.” That’s how Miley Cyrus introduced her new rap-adjacent thumper “Cattitude” at last weekend’s BBC Radio 1 Big Weekend festival. She then made tabloid headlines for the lyric, “I love you Nicki, but I listen to Cardi.” This may be the music speaking to Cyrus right now, but it seems like everything is speaking to her right now—country-tinged synth ballads, Wu-Tang Clan homages, Mark Ronson collaborations, Billie Eilish-style ASMR teasers, and even Black Mirror cameos.

“Cattitude” is proudly unserious, but it’s also kind of embarrassing. “Turn up your gratitude, turn down your attitude/I love my pussy, that means I got cattitude” packs the energy of a self-help slogan and a rejected Lizzo track. Perhaps anticipating blowback to the pussy hat of pop songs, the version on Cyrus’ new She Is Coming EP adds an extensive feature from RuPaul, who playfully smuggles in some exploration of genderqueer sex. Shame it should wind up lodged in this mess, where the highlight is, alas, Miley’s interpolation of Missy Elliott’s iconic rum-pum-pum-pum in “Work It.” “Cattitude” is entertaining, sure, but who’s being entertained?

Star Wars Land: a food & drink photo guide to Galaxy’s Edge - Polygon

Not only does Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge feature new rides, locations, and immersive Star Wars experiences. The new park expansion also features Star Wars food. That’s right — food (and drinks) from the Star Wars universe, now available for your consumption in Disneyland, and later to Disney’s Hollywood Studios on Aug. 29.

One of the biggest announcements to come out of Disneyland’s Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge wasn’t anything to do with the rides or the immersive experiences. This one was just for the adults descending upon the smuggler’s output: Galaxy’s Edge would be the first land at Disneyland to serve alcohol.

Pour one out, rebels.

To be fair, Galaxy’s Edge doesn’t only serve alcoholic beverages; they just happen to be a big draw. But there are plenty of other Star Wars beverages filling the stalls and cantinas of the planet Batuu.

Kat Saka’s Kettle

Amidst the bustling marketplace, guests will find a colorful popcorn blend unique to the Star Wars world. The snack has a savory sweet taste, both salty and fruity. We found it a bit addictive, the thing that you blindly pick at while waiting in line, until it’s suddenly gone. A pouch runs you $6.49.

Docking Bay 7 Food and Cargo

According to Galaxy’s Edge’s in-world lore, famous chef Chef Strono “Cookie” Tuggs owns this mobile restaurant, in which he travels across the galaxy and cooks up delicious meals. This is the main dining location in Star Wars Land and thus features the most expansive menu, with options for breakfast, lunch, and dinner that all range between $12.99-$18.99.

Breakfast includes an egg bite called the Bright Suns Morning, an oatmeal concoction with dragon fruit called the Rising Moons Overnight Oats, and a “sweet galactic delight” called the Mustafarian Lava Roll.

Smoked Kaadu Ribs at Star Wars Land

Lunch features Smoked Kaadu Ribs (pork ribs), Fried Endorian Tip-yip (crispy chicken with roasted vegetable potato mash), (chilled shrimp with marinated noodles), Felucian Garden Spread (Kefta with hummus in a pita), and Roasted Endorian Tip-Yip Salad (a chicken salad). We really enjoyed the Felucian Garden Spread, a light and refreshing dish that doesn’t really have a contemporary in the rest of the park’s culinary options.

The dinner menu includes the Smoked Kaduu Ribs, Friend Endorian Tip-yip, Yobshrimp Noodle Salad, and the Roasted Endorian Tip-yip Salad, as well as the Ithorian Garden Loaf (a vegetable based meatloaf) and Braised Shaak Roast (beef pot roast).

Deserts

Desserts — available at both lunch and dinner — include the Oi-oi Puff (a raspberry cream puff) and the Batuu-bon (chocolate cake). The Batuu-bon’s more of a sweet milk chocolate treat. It has a neat little chocolate token that rests on top of it’s shiny, round, gooey exterior.

The main dining location in the land also features various themed drinks like Moof Juice, Phattro, and Batuubucha Tea — along with Black Caf (aka regular ol’ coffee with a Star Wars zinger for a name).

Oga’s Cantina

This dining location the first in Disneyland to serve alcohol. Within the park lore, Og’s Cantina is a notorious hotbed of smugglers and less than savory citizens.

Alcoholic drinks, ranging from $14-$15, will include Jedi Mind Trick, the Outer Rim, T-18 Skyhopper, Fuzzy Tauntaun, Dagobah Slug Slinger, Bespin Fizz, Jet Juice, and Yub Nub (which comes with an exclusive Endor mug, hiking up the price to $42). Morning variations include Spiran Caf and Bloody Rancor (spiked coffee and a Bloody Mary-esque concoction respectively).

Various beers, wines, and ciders are available on tap, range from $12-$13, and all sport Star Wars names. The beers are Gold Squadron Lager, White Wampa Ale, Gamorrean Ale, and Bad Motivator IPA, with Spice Runner cider. The wine is Toniray and Imperial Guard.

Oga’s non-alcoholic drinks (L to R): Carbon Freeze, Oga’s Obsession, and Cliff Dweller

Non-alcoholic drinks (all $6-$7.50) include Hyperdrive, Jabba’s Juice, Blurrgfire, Carbon Freeze, Cliff Dweller (which comes with an exclusive Porg mug), Oga’s Obsession, and Blue Bantha. Breakfast drinks include Black Spire Brew, Moogan Tea, and Tarine Tea. If you’re going the non-alcoholic route, we vouch for the Carbon Freeze which takes inspiration from passion fruit bubble tea with pearls.

In addition to its robust drink menu, Oga’s also has one food option during the day, a snack mix called Batuu Bites. Breakfast food includes Mustafarian Lava Roll and Rising Moons Overnight Oats.

Ronto Roasters

The barbeque meat inside the Ronto Wraps is cooked up on a large pod racing engine.

A Ronto wrap

The morning menu includes the $12.49 Ronto Morning Wrap — scrambled eggs, cheese, peppercorn sauce wrapped in pita — as well as Rising Moons Overnight Oats ($6.99). The regular Ronto Wrap, made up of roasted pork, grilled sausage, and slaw, will be available all day for $12.99. Nuna Turkey Jerky is also available at Ronto’s. A collision of familiar foods — hotdog, pork sandwich, and gyro — we like how the salty fat of the meat mixes with the vinegary slaw. Our pita did a commendable job of not getting soggy.

The barbeque joint also features non-alcoholic beverages like the Sour Sarlacc, the Tatooine Sunset, and Meiloorun Juices.

The Milk Stand

Ever wanted to try the ... Green Milk that Luke Skywalker obtained from a creature in The Last Jedi? Or the Blue Milk he served during a family meal during A New Hope? Now you can for $7.99. What can we say? Luke Skywalker really likes his calcium.

The Blue Milk has a fruity, unexpected taste. We like it! The Green Milk... maybe just stick with the Blue Milk! You can read more about the Milk Stand in our Blue Milk review.

Update: Robert Pattinson Reportedly Approved to Play Batman - IGN

The chin is in?

Update 05/31/2019: Deadline reports that Warner Bros. has approved Robert Pattinson for the title role in Matt Reeves' The Batman.

Following a screen test with Pattinson and Nicholas Hoult, it was the former who apparently won out, despite Tolkien star Hoult impressing.

Warner Bros. has told IGN that Pattinson is now in negotiations, despite reports saying he'd already signed a deal.

We'll update this story as we learn more.

Robert Pattinson and Nicholas Hoult will reportedly be screen testing in full costume to potentially play the Caped Crusader in the upcoming film The Batman.

Revealed by The Wrap reporter Umberto Gonzalez on Twitter, he suspects the two are "screen testing in the Batsuit because Wardrobe Department will need full wardrobe test. Additionally, the film will now start production in Q1 2020.”

Pattinson is known for his work on Good Time, The Lost City of Z and the Twilight films. Hoult is known for playing Beast in the current X-Men films, and his roles in Tolkien, The Favourite and Mad Max: Fury Road. Earlier reports indicated that both actors are frontrunners for the role of Bruce Wayne/Batman in Matt Reeves’ upcoming film.

If Pattinson does earn the starring role, here are some of his movies we think fans should check out. For more on The Batman, its list of villains has reportedly been revealed.

The Emmy-winner didn't expect fans to be so dedicated to the character's complicated storylines and wanting to learn more about them.

At the New York City premiere for Season 2, Kidman confessed she didn't intend on doing more episodes when she first signed on to the project, co-executive produced by and starring friend Reese Witherspoon. "Thank you to the fans and the audiences," she added.

"She signed on without having read anything. That is a massive thing for a woman with that amount of power and also the fall she could take if we didn't deliver for her."

"It shows the trust. It also shows how she's unbelievably daring and curious and bold. And I love her!"

Smollett case was closed weeks before being dismissed: report | TheHill - The Hill

The investigation into actor Jussie Smollett's claim that he was attacked by two men in Chicago who supposedly shouted racist and pro-Trump messages at him was closed weeks before police announced that no charges would be filed, according to documents.

CNN reported Friday that police were told by officials in the Cook County State's Attorney's Office just a week after the actor reported the attack that they could no longer investigate Smollett's claims.

An assistant state attorney reportedly told police officials that Smollett would resolve the case by paying "Chicago $10K in restitution and doing community service."

Smollett's attorney Mark Geragos declined to comment on the news when contacted by CNN on Thursday.

Charges against the "Empire" actor were dropped in late March after an initial investigation into a reported hate crime against Smollett evolved into an investigation into whether the actor had lied to police about the incident and paid two brothers who worked with the show to stage the assault.

Smollett's case generated massive public nationwide attention due to the nature of his claims, which detailed a shocking attack apparently at the hands of President TrumpDonald John TrumpMexican president on Trump immigration tariffs: 'America First is a fallacy' Bennet warns against 'race to judgment' on Trump impeachment Grassley slams Trump tariffs on Mexico: 'A misuse of presidential tariff authority' MORE's supporters. The president has called Smollett's accusations "racist" in tweets criticizing the actor for his supposedly false accusations.

".@JussieSmollett - what about MAGA and the tens of millions of people you insulted with your racist and dangerous comments!? #MAGA" Trump tweeted in March days after the charges were dropped.

The Cook County State's Attorney's Office said at the time that Smollett's decision to do community service and forfeit his bond to the city was a "just" outcome even as Smollett continued to maintain his side of the events publicly.

"After reviewing all of the facts and circumstances of the case, including Mr. Smollet’s volunteer service in the community and agreement to forfeit his bond to the City of Chicago, we believe this outcome is a just disposition and appropriate resolution to this case," the office said in March.

Jussie Smollett prosecutors closed investigation weeks before dismissing case, unsealed documents reveal - CNN

After Jussie Smollett's charges were dropped, a judge sealed his case file. Now, it will be made public
Assistant State Attorney Risa Lanier told detectives she felt the case would be settled by Smollett paying "Chicago $10K in restitution and doing community service."
It was a month later in March when prosecutors announced they were dismissing the 16 charges against Smollett, saying the "Empire" actor forfeited his bail money and had done community service.
Smollett had told police that two attackers yelled racist and homophobic slurs at him, tied a rope around his neck and poured an unknown substance on him.
But after an extensive investigation, Chicago Police Superintendent Eddie Johnson said Smollett paid two brothers $3,500 to stage the attack and take "advantage of the pain and anger of racism to promote his career."
The case was national news for weeks and the dismissal of charges prompted critics to say the office of Cook County State's Attorney Kim Foxx was treating Smollett differently because he is a celebrity.
CNN reached out to Smollett's legal team Thursday, but attorney Mark Geragos declined to comment.

His attorney told detectives about two witnesses

In the new documents, Smollett 's attorney Tina Glandian pointed to two witnesses who said they saw at least one white man near where Smollett said he was attacked.
Brothers implicated, then cleared, in Jussie Smollett case sue actor's legal team for defamation
One was a woman walking her dog at 12:30 a.m. and said she saw a white man who appeared to have a rope underneath his jacket. The man looked away when the woman looked at him, she told detectives.
Another was a security guard at a hotel who saw a white man wearing a ski mask at 2 a.m., around the time of the alleged incident. The guard said another man ran by, pointing to the other man in the mask.
"This is the first time we are seeing any of this," Glandian wrote in an email.
As the investigation into his claims of a hate crime attack had progressed, Smollett was asked by police whether two brothers could be the perpetrators.
No, he said, according to police documents, because there were "black as sin."

Smollett said he had no issues with the brothers

Smollett told police at the beginning that he was attacked in the early hours of January 29 by two white men.
When questioned February 14 about the brothers, who at the time were in police custody, Smollett, who is gay, said he didn't have any issues with them.
"They are straight so we don't have any problems with women or men," he said. "They did not owe me any money, I don't owe them any money. We have a good relationship."
The case file also has details about the "unknown chemical substance" police said the "Empire" actor claimed was poured on him during the attack.
'Empire' renewed for Season 6 but Jussie Smollett's return is in doubt
The two brothers confessed to their involvement in the alleged plot, with one saying he filled a hot sauce bottle with bleach and poured it on Smollett.
That container was found at the scene of the alleged attack, police said.
Police have previously alleged that text messages show Smollett bought drugs from one brothers. In the documents, they said those drugs included marijuana, ecstasy, and cocaine.
